6. Global Chess-Festival 2020

This year it was an enormous challenge and at the same time a great joy to organize the 6^th Global Chess Festival online. Instead of last year’s spectacular location at the Hungarian National Gallery, we created a virtual platform to reach out to everyone around the world with 50+ programs. We would like to thank you for connecting with us on the day of 10th October and in case you missed it, no worries! Due to great demand we have decided to share the most interesting talks and presentations that are now accessible from the official website GlobalChessFestival.com

Some highlights from the 6 th Global Chess Festival online:

Champions Talk with world champions the legendary Garry Kasparov and Vladimir Kramnik; Goodwill Ambassador Talks with grandmasters: John Nunn, Simen Agdestein and the fascinating videos from the educational perspective: a sample Chess Playground lesson for children; life skills by teacher and psychologist Fernando Moreno; Chess Behind Bars by Carl Portman; Dessert with the Polgar Sisters hosted by Yasser Seirawan; and the Virtual Galleries

Keeping in mind the #ChessConnectsUs initiative and our vision of emphasizing the relation of sport, art, education, science and chess, we are already planning the next festival.
